I just bought one for my 6 year old a few weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to fire it yet, but it appears to be a well made gun.

Cricket is a neat little gun. I used one for a couple of years with a Red Dot scope. Deadly little combo at night. The only problem was loading with cold fingers. Tight quarters.

I started using the Rossi Youth with the Red Dot and have been pleased. Not much difference in weight. Much easier to use, accurate, and overall a better quality firearm. JMHO

oh yeah i can understand that one!!! lol i just have been using a ruger 22 automatic and i meen its a very acurate nice gun not to complantive about the wait its just the stock hits me in the back all night and it really buggs the crap outa me.. and when i shine and shoot i have to use both hands on the gun and the light... just seems easier with a smaller gun... but i defently get your point.. that small single action with cold fingers haha

Just dont forget to carry the safety key with you. I've already went out and accidentaly pushed the lock closed and did'nt have the key to unlock it. Other than that its a great gun and great for kids to learn with.

If you can get your hands on the chipmonk, your better off. Iv owned them both still own the chipmonk the bolt and bolt carrier are much stronger on the chipmonk. i wore my cricket out in one year, granted i used it for more then just coon hunting. The chipmonk is 8 years old and still going strong.
