I just traded an english pup i wanted $200 for and 12 volt belt lite that i bought for $100 (the guy needed money) to a guy I know for a Ruger m77 .220 Swift. I checked the serial #s and it looks like it was made in 1991, but in such good condition you would think it was bought yesterday. I haven't had any experience with one but hear some good things about that caliber. Just wondering what everone on here thought about them, good or bad. I don't know what it will get used for, but it is hard for me to pass on a good looking gun, LOL

A 220 swifts biggest drawback is that it wears out barrels much faster than other calibers. Otherwise it will spit out 22 cal. bullets in that 4000 ft/sec range. It excells in range over the 22-250 about as much as the 22-250 excells over the 223. If the barrel is okay you should have made a good trade and should like the rifle.
