Does anyone use elevated feeders? so as your dog does not depend on them but you are still able to keep plenty of coon in your area to chase.I have made a couple and seem to work pretty well, and after 2 months have not had 1 dog tree on feeders.Just wondering.

i use a 2 by 4 find you two trees close together nail the board to the trees take the lid off of a peanut butter jaw and nail it to ther board then screw the jar back on works great then once you do that poke a hole in the top of the jar so they can dig it out i put 7 or 8 jars on each board but make sure you have plenty of peanut butter cause if you have coons they will be all over it and wont leave as long as you keep the food on the table you going to have coons with that techinque thats the best way i have found that works i also take a 5 gallon bucket poke a hole in on the side at the bottom of the bucket just big enough they can get there foot in there and scoop it out then go get a bag of corn and 2 jugs of grape juice porn a little corn pour juice and do that until its all gone that works good to but not near as good as the 2 by 4 deal u can make the board as high as you want it long as u can reach it lol works like a charm sure hope this helps yah

I use 5 gallon buckets with shelled corn. seems to work really well.. I really only like to hunt younger pups on feeders. I have never treed a coon in the same tree as the feeder. I hunted with a guy in a comp hunt one night that hunted his old dog on the same feeder so much that when he turned the dog loose he went straight to the feeder in a dead run and treed about two trees from the feeder bucket.. I told the man he may hunt the dog a little to much on the same feeder lol. I think feeders can be a good thing used in the correct manner.
