i got a 8 week cur female that kept getting out the first few nights and i got her put up on the edge of town so theres right much traffic. anyways. i tied her in with a regular leash and she got hung up once. so i made it short enough she could almost touch three sides and she's getting where she likes to chew the leash up. however i can take put her in the pen and just clip a leash on her and she wont even try to get out. only took about three days for her to learn. on top of that she's practically leash broke now so i see the leashing them in a kennel safe adn beneficial to you and your dog if you do it right.

best way to stop digging is to put chain link fence across bottom of kennel and then put crushed gravel over it for a floor that will pack down and absorb. this gravel is often called screen or screenings

I have 3 chain ink kennels side by side, the diggers were in the middle and would dig to the other fences. I separated the kennels about 1ft added some 10ft logs to each of the 3 sides and logs on the front... this will work until i can concrete the floor.

dogs dont tri to get out if you take care of them the only reason a dog tries to get out they arnt happy about something

Sounds like a anti houndsman to me......Mine was getting out until I made some changes to my kennel. Mine were wanting to chase and tree the coon running the creek 100 yards behind the kennel.

Let me guess cows shouldn't be in a pasture neither? All live stock should free range and the wolf population should not be put in check.
