If you have a good big shade tree with long limbs, just get you a good piece of rope, and throw over a low limb. Tie an eye knot in the end and run the other end through it and choke it up to limb. Cut rope up to where dog can't reach it and tie your chain to it. Just make sure that he is tied far enough from the tree not to get wrapped around it. That way most of the chain is not dragging on the ground all the time and wearing out.

if you can get last year June or July Cooner mag that is an article in there about what Wick uses for a set up. I have been told that is the best you will find.

If anybody can find it please let me know.

Metal T fences post Cut into two foot lengths. Drill hole about 3/4 inche from the top. Put chain and a quick link through the pre-drilled hole and pound into ground. Dogs can go round and round and never get wrapped up. Never had a hound pull one out.

I use a 3' piece of 3/4" rebar with a big washer and a heavy ring welded to the top.

Earth anchors used for trapping is the way to go...no more unwinding your dogs.......I'm about to utilize the wick cable run and use the earth anchor place of the rebar staples that wick wrote about in the cooner one month last year or so
