I was wondering what yall did with ur raccoon meat and fox meat; eat it, use it as bait for other animals, or leave it for the buzzards. |

I know several guys who go to Arkansas each year and trap , they sale their coon meat and use the money to buy the food while they are staying away from home trapping. some time they put them in a old cooler and set in gas station parking lots and guy pull up and buy them for $5 each it's a widely know thing in the southern states. I hear in Florida and other states they carry them in the meat section of the gerocery stores |

It's really no different than rabbit or squirrel. Not as good but its table fare. If I don't sell the coon in the round to a fur buyer, I like to pressure cook it so it's fall off the bone and than add it to home made noodle soup...I will say though, it's better earlier in the season when there is less fat on it. I've always said, don't knock it till u try it! |
