You did right by editing the ad when you edited the price drop and remaining available. But instead of posting to the ad for link to facebook to see the pictures, you should have used the EDIT button to edit the ad like you did with price drop and remaining litter.

We have an excessive Bumping and BTT Policy on ads as the bumping and BTT has gotten out of hand. Instead of Bumping an ad before it leaves the first page, use the EDIT button to edit your ad to add additional info - IE; Pics, Phone #, Price, Location, Litter Updates, "Make Offer", and ETC....

As you will see below, many different ways to find the Policy:

Look at the top of every forum page the white text that says: Click for Classified Ad Changes Effective 12 Sep 2011

OR

Check out the Site News and Announcement section.

OR

The Forum Code of Conduct and Policies section.

OR

Click on the Forum Rules Tab at the top of the Classified listings.

OR

Click on the Forum Rules Tab in the white box at the top of EVERY Classified section.

When using your phone in "edit" mode, it wont post the updated, i learned that the hard way, spent 20 mins updating all the information, and then when i went to submit it, none of the new info was there. i'm not sure if it was because there was a LINK that i copied and pasted into it or what... at that time it was easier just to copy the link again and post it in a reply to avoid having to retype everything. wasn't trying to "bump" because i don't even know what that is.

maybe instead of assuming things, you could message the person. Not everyone on here are avid forum users.

I will address your argument on being avid forum users. You do realize this Policy has been in place since 2011 and you registered an account in 2014.

On the bottom of the Registration Page you used to register, it says:

Quote:
There is a Forum Code of Conduct that constitute the rules of the forum. Each member that registers and uses the forum must abide to the forum rules. Members who choose not to follow the forum rules may have their account suspended, deleted, or banned. (Spamming the forum with ads, sabotaging others ads, bad deal policy, and etc...)

By clicking "I agree to these terms" below, you agree to be bound by these conditions.

It's the users responsibility to read the Rules they are agreeing to when they register. Not after the fact. The Forum Code of Conduct and Policies section is also on the Forum App.

As far as "assuming" - Well a bump post, is a bump post.........There is a no assuming a bump post. If it is bumped, it is bumped - doesn' t matter the reason............not going to send a PM to everyone that bumps an ad and ask "Did you mean to bump your ad?" Why? Because of all the places the Forum rules are on the forum concerning bumping and btting and knowing coonhunters, imagine most would reply back "naw, I sure didn't mean to." when 99% of bump post are intentional.

We get that this is a not a popular Policy on the forum - that is why that at the bottom of the Bumping and BTTing Policy, we have gave a suggestion in bold red what to do for those that have issues with the Policy.
