i don't see how the v6 can blow em faster than a 22r ive blown several in the 4 cyl. the only thing iveheard against the v6 is that it is harder to work on

I bought a 94 ext cab 4x4 auto a couple of months ago, and couldn't be happier. Does pretty well on gas for a 6cl. And drives well with plenty of room to hunt out of. I won't own nothing but a toyota to hunt out of. Thats just my opinion. But you know what they say about opinions!

i have a 98 yota with the 5 speed and the 3.4 v6 and that joker will go anywhere. ive never had any problems with the whole truck, and for a v6 with a 5 speed that truck will fly.

V6 yota motor of that year are junk in my opinion know several people that had nothing but problems with them. I have a 93 22r 4x4 truck and would not sell it for anything had a buddy that settled for a v6 just put a motor in it due to burnt valve. The head gaskets call for 23 hours and motor is 24 at 70 a hour it gets expensive.Wait and find you a 22r truck or get a newer v6 if you can.Just my opinion though.

Toyota's were only solid front axle up to 85.

But I have seen a lit of the 3.0's with head gasket trouble. The problem is a thin gasket, and an iron block with aluminum heads. The metals expand at different temperatures stressing the gasket and causing it to fail. A quality aftermarket gasket will fix the problem. But thats just one common problem of the 3.0. I would look for a 4 Banger in a pre-95.

98 and up v6's are fine but before that they had head gasket problems newer ones are dependable as anything else
