First I believe the truck is way over priced.Usually transmision or injector pump goes first both are pretty expensive and a motor over haul could be looking at 3-5000 dollars. the reason they sell trucks at about 160000 miles is they just get tired of them most of the time if you do good maintance on a diesel and take care of the truck i have seen some motors last 500000 miles.I got a freind that has a 99 model f350 4X4 With a KNAPHEDE dump bed on it and he is only asking 10000 for it has 168000 miles on it that is a real fair price for a truck not gouging people

I would say it is also way over priced. But since it is a 7.3 I would not touch the motor with the miles it has on it if it has been properly maintained. If there wouk d be any issues that year has had issues with the turbos and injectors. Both can be fixed fairly reasonably. I've got a 2000 f250 7.3L that's got 450, 000 miles on it. If the motor is properly maintained that truck isn't even at half life yet.
