I'd go with the Chevy, thats what i went for, and we pull a livestock loadded with cattle alot, it does great! FORD, atleast they circled the problem! I'd rather push a Chevy than drive a ford!

actually base price for a 2006 chevy- 2500HD crewcab long box 4x4 LT1 is $33,005 (thats without any options like duramax/powerstroke or anything) and base for a 2006 ford f-250 crewcab long box 4x4 lariat is 37,365 and with options added chevy is still cheaper. looked it up on the websites for both vehicles with same options ect.

I strongly recommend that if you want a diesel pickup, do not get a 3/4 ton Ford, get a 1 ton instead. I have a ford F350 and I keep hearing over and over that folks with the 3/4 ton with a diesel end of constantly changing ball joints and stablizer bars. I have a 1 ton and it rides very smooth and have had very little trouble with it. Had to replace the cam sensor (Under warranty) and the starter (Never plugged it in sub zero weather, also under warranty). I learned my lesson and now plug it in in cold weather.
