I went coyote hunting last night. We had my 87 3/4 ton and a Tacoma.Big Red ended up pulling the Tacoma out twice in 2wd

I will say taking the Toyota to the gun show was a novel idea. With gas being 2.39 a gallon.....it was cheaper than taking Big Red
sounds like it may have been driver error to get a 4x4 toyota stuck twice where a big truck could go in two wheel drive.if they were 2 wheel drive toyotas i could see it, 2 wheel drive toyotas are worthless as far as getting stuck.i have a 2001 S 10 ZR2 4x4 that will go through some stuff most trucks would be stuck in,but with the gas and wear and tear i save on it taking the toyo hunting and a 76 mile round trip for work, the toyo is paying for itself many times over. i have 175,000 on the chevy and it still is tight and looks new, thanks to the abuse my lil $850 toyota has takin in the chevys place.i have been in some stuff that common sense kept me from getting stuck before any 4x4 would have. :roll:when gas was $4.20 a gal. the S10 sat in the driveway .mpg with the vortec 4.3 did'nt get it....................TC

Did I forget to mention that same toyota pulled Big Red out a time or two as well??

My whole point was really to say "a 4x4 truck is better than a 2x4 truck in adverse conditions...no matter who made the dang thing"

I really like Chevrolets and drive them.I just got 170 miles out of my last full tank.Luckily I can afford things like a ton of gas. Some of you folks with famlies and other finacial obligations may not be in such a position I am in.

It all boils down to your need and budget.

It gets so old when someone tries to say this or that is best.

TC one of the places we coon/coyote hunt has a pretty big hillside you enter and exit. The toyota is just too light to go back up when the ground is really wet.

If I was stuck out in the middle of no where...I would rather anything that would get me out VS something that will not.
