My insurance agent asked me if my Dodge Dakota was garage kept. YEP it is Tom's Garage and repair shop, Perry's garage and repair shop, CJ's garage and repair shop and on and on. YEP it sure is garage kept. JUNK, JUNK, JUNK. Did I mention JUNK. I always liked Chevy's but I got tired of replacing or repairing the hood cables, the inevitable squeeks, and the latch on the tailgate failing well before it's time. Man I wish having to use a screw driver open the hood was my only worry. Paul Conway.

I am on my third Dodge with no repairs up to 130 k on anything except ball joints on the 99. I used to drive Ford Rangers untill the last one. The Power steering pump went out at 18k the mechanic told me they had changed to one with plastic internals, the water pump went at 30k the oil pump at 34k. Never buy another ford.
Worked at a dealership that had all three models. ford, dodge and chevy in a Farm and Ranch community. this was when the 6.0 came out. Let me tell you, great engine, about 5k life. Chevies introduced the Dura max with an aluminum head on a Cast iron block. That was bright. If they cant do any better than that I will always drive a dodge. Besides who wants a truck with half a frame (chevy) so it rides like a car, and I can't drop the list of things on ford
By the way all of the farm and ranch guys either drove ford or dodge most would not touch a Chevy. Tweaked frames and warped heads (dura Max) from towing on the Chevy.

I've only owned one GM product. The only thing good I can say about it was that my legs got in great shape from pushing it alot or walking from where it crapped out. I inhereted a Dodge Neon through marriage that is unbelievably still running perfectly, even though its 13 year old. That said, I overwhelmingly prefer my Ford Ranger and Mustang over about anything else.

The only good thing Ford has ever done is putting a circle around there mistake.
Nuttin like a heavy Chevy! THE HEARTBEAT OF AMERICA..Unless your talkin diesel power
CAUSE DODGE MAKES IT BUT CUMMINS SHAKES IT.nuttin like older dodges with a big bad cummins powerhouse under the hood and a heavy foot on the accelerator
