I don't understand why small pickups get around the same gas millage as full size pickups.I have owned a couple of small pickups decided i might as well get a full size truck .I get around 20 mpg with my 98 z-71 silverodo

Yes.I just bought a 2000 Silverado with the 5.3 V8 and It gets the same milage my Toyota with 4 cyl. got.

I owned a 90 Z-71 350 5spd. and it never ran right, I guess it knew I was a Ford man, but anyways it ran like crap most of the time and it still got 20 on the highway. I traded for an 83 Nissan and it has a bad carb. and it gets around 19 highway, hopefully with my Weber setup it will get 23-25. If I had it to do over again I would get 97-98 Z-71 and if you can find one a 5spd. 350
