When i was home last weekend, my dad and i went hunting one night in his truck. Its a 97 Ford Ranger w/ 215,000 miles. YES... 215k!!! lol The only thing i know that truck cant do is haul all the coons we've killed while hunting in it over the last 10 years. its pulled racecars & fourwheelers and still doing good.

dead on. i have a 99' ford ranger slt and its a piece. i have had nothin but trouble with the electric four wheele drive. plus, ive replaced both sets of brakes in two years, and done numberous little things to it. im pretty sure this truck was messed up when i bought it used. the four wheel drive slips out when i really have to pour the juice on it going up a hill etc. i took it in once to get fixed, appearently the mechanic didnt know his head from his a hole.

get yourself a manual tranny with man. 4x4 hubs, sucks gettin out to lock em in, buts its worth it.

I have a 1992 chevy with extended cab which is were my bluetick gets to ride that has 260,000 miles and is still going. It only has a 4.3 v6 with a 5 speed but that poor truck has hauled more wood and pulled big trailers for construction than most people do with their 3/4 tons. I get 21-23 on the highway and average 18 mpg pretty darn good fora full size 4x4. I have pretty good luck with chevy mine dont look as good as techno's does thats for sure. Chicks dont really dig mine either. Works good for hunting though after 260,000 miles I dont really care if my dog climbs in it all muddy and stinky. When it dies I will park it but it seems that aint going to happen any time soon.
