I've got a 2001 Chevy Z-71. I have decided to put a programmer/chip on it. It has a 6" lift and rollin 35's. I'm lookin for more HP, Torque, and Gas Milage. I was going to see which ya'll thought was best. Let me know what you think.

I have a 2001 gmc sierra 4x4. I put the superchips programer on it and could hardly tell the diff. I also did the k&n filter and 21/2 duals. I wouldnt waste my money.

The people that sell the chips get all their data from bone stock, brand new trucks. I'm gonna bust some people's bubble, but you aren't going to get more hp/torque AND better gas milage out of a chip with 35's. You have changed the gear ratio by going up in tire size, which makes it so you go farther and have to wind it out more before going into overdrive and you have more rubber (which creates the resistance that changes gas mileage) touching the road. If you want more horsepower and torque, go with lower gears in your axles.

Theres really no point in chipping a gaser. If your gonna get a chip put it in a diesel.

I put a superchips programer on a ford v-10 and gained a ton of power. I now have an edge programer and edge piggyback system stacked on my 7.3 superduty

99 z71 with a Black Bear Performance Custom Chip. It makes a big difference on these trucks by removing some or all of the torque management. Custom tunes are the only way to go. Justin at BB Performance will send you a cable to get accurate data from your truck to tune it to what it needs. Hands down makes a huge difference. Superchips, well they are junk compared to custom tunes.

Do a google search and give him an email, he will set you up. Also might as well add an '02 computer to add to the parameters.
