I guess this is in the right place. I was wondering how ya'll secure your dogbox to your truck? Do ya'll bolt them in, or chain them to your toolbox?
Do you even worry about it? I have to leave my truck beside the road more than I like to when we hunt, and I sometimes wonder if it'll be there when I get back. Just a thought.

I got one of the master lock python locks and run it through the handle of the box and the tie down in the truck. The way I look at it if someone wants my box bad enuff they are gonna get it anyway this will just slow them down some .

That's what I always figured, but I hope I could discourage them enough so that they would just leave. Or maybe slow them down enough that I could catch them in the act and cause them bodily harm.

i used 2 stake pocket hold down rings made for a ford truck. i drilled a hole next to the door on the front of the dog box and one on the opposite side in the back. i ran a chain through the front one to the tie down bracket in the truck bed on the front with a lock and a cable for locking a motor cycle through the back one ,under the toolbox and through the tie down bracket with another lock. other then slowing down thieves,it will keep the dog box from launching out of your truck if you wreck.......................TC
