I have a 4 Wheeler with less than 5 hours use on it. Went out and took off the cover off it to drive around and hook up my trailer as I spent today working on my dog kennels.
Anyhow, I took the cover off, jumped on it, put the key in and turn it and only green neutral light came on. Tried to start it but nothing.
What the hell? Took the back panel off and about died.
In in the back section where the battery and wiring is, were 2 litters of rat pups..........2 big momma rats jumped out and took off.
Those damn rats totally chewed up all the wiring back there.........so bad that I will have to have all the wiring redone.
Really not sure when I will have time to get around getting that fixed as our newest son is expected around 10 days or so and I have been trying to get things done around here while I have more free time available if you know what I mean.
Less than 5 hours on it, man this sucks. I hate to find out what it's going to cost for the rewiring.
sorry to hear that buckshot i hope you took care of them little ones & can get those big ones out your way before the do any more damage man i cant stand rats
We had this happen to my brother's truck last year. We went on a mission trip to Brazil for 2 months and both of out trucks sat the whole time we were gone. Well lo and behold when we got back the dang rats just decided they would take up residence under his hood. Believe it or not, they chewed all but 2 of his plug wires plum in half. Didn't do too much damage besides that, but we've learned that if you're gonna leave something sitting for any amount of time at all, throw a couple handfuls or rat poison under the hood and under it just to try to help your chances with the pesky critters.
