Hey folks, just wanted to say hi...brand new to this site and fairly new to hound hunting...purchased a young Walker male from a gentlemen in Kansas a little while back and have been hunting alot since...always been a coon hunter but never with a dog...Really enjoying "Max" as a hunting companion...I also have a 4 year old German Shepherd that does very well finding them and destroying them once they hit the dirt, his name is "Jager" an the 3rd wheel is "Ripley"...he is a Chesapeake/Springer Spaniel cross and has a great nose for coons and stuff with fur but doesn't care to hunt birds so the 3 are learning to work as a trio and it's going very well so far...Would like to meet more folks in my area that run hounds that maybe I could run Max with just to polish him up around the edges but he's doing good for a dog with minimal experience...Thanks for reading this and looking forward to talking to y'all in the future...

Rj

I have a beagle and a pointer.. who is more of a cur dog than a bird dog... BUt neither are really much good for coon.

Thinking about getting a redbone. I am leaving for work out of state soon.. BUt I will be back..

Hi there...I hunt quite a bit up around the Loup River area, some around the Platte and alot down in your area, between Oxford and Alma...I think the redbones are cool also...I got my walker because he was a good deal...$100, 1 1/2 years old and already some experience...just had to drive clear the heck down to Dodge City, KS to get him but it was worth the trip!

Ok cool deal...I lived in Oxford in '98 and '99 and graduated from Southern Valley...We'll have to get together sometime and go out, sounds good...
