Is there any police officers that hunt Coon in Ohio? Or am I the only hillbilly police officer in Ohio that hunts Coon.

I am a police officer in the communist republic of Maryland. I Coon hunt round here and in southeast Virginia, where I am from originally, when I get the chance. Working with my redbone. Also hunt my one buddy's English and crossbreed on occasion. I do as much hunting and fishing as I can. At least my schedule gives me three days off a week and plenty of leave to burn so I can get out in the woods. A lot of these city slickers round here give me funny looks runnin round in brush chaps and dogs in the truck. Girls do seem to like the hound dogs though. Ya'll have a good Christmas.

Well after 35 years in law enforcement, with the last 32 as a state conservation officer in indiana, I have retired. Which means I can now spend time in the woods chasing coon instead of chasing poachers, druggies and deviants and I gotta say I am enjoying it a heck of a lot more. The job certainly isn't what it was when I started (but then it's not the same world either) and I'm thankful I'm getting out now instead of starting now. Would love to meet some of you guys at Autumn Oaks or some such gathering some day.
