im looking to coon hunting. i dont have any dogs and have never been on a successful coon hunt. I would like to learn and get some dogs of my own eventually so that I can take my young boys out in a year or 2. But i want to learn the basics before I try taken them. Thanks

im a little surprised to see that no one has responnded to my last post. I spoke with a well known coon hunter in missuri a couple of weeks ago and he told me that ohio was a hot spot for coon hunting. he also said that i shouldnt have too much trouble finding someone to go hunting with around here. i really want to get some woods time in this year but i need a wing to get under. I have some friends in eastern tn. that are coon hunters but i have not been down there in several yrs. i would really appreciate anyone who will give me the time to go out hunting. Thanks all.
