Had a good bear season, didn't do much coon huntin cuz I had my female away being bred, just took her out for the first time since the end of November the other night and she slammed one right off the bat. I'm definitely lookin forward to getting her in some hunts this year.

My son went to WVW in Buckcannon. How the coon hunting down there? Last year when visiting my Uncle, we ran into a group running bear dogs, We stopped and talked for awhile. That was pretty cool. We cant run bears with dogs in NJ. I am from South Jersey and there are no bears! Tons of coon.

I'm not sure about Buckhannon but in my part of WV the coon huntin can be pretty rough, thin coon and lots of dog pressure. You really gotta have a thorough hunting dog to pick up a track and drive it to a tree. I know some parts of the state have good hunting though so its hit or miss.
