Thanks. I actually am looking at original mountain curs now, the ones with colder noses. I was thinking a B&T or Bluetick but wanted a little more flexibility when it came to pleasure hunting coon and squirrel and whatever else I could tree. After quite a bit of research I think a cur will do the job.

Yeah just north of Cole camp we run a lot of long legged prairie coons.

I live in Joplin, mo. and just picked a 6 month old English. First hound pup I have owned in 30 years. Been hunting feist on squirrels last 4 or 5 years and would like to meet someone to help get back into coon hunting. Jerry

I would not mind to come up and hunt with you or you come down this way. I hunt conservation land and some land around the area. I will warn you that I am hunting a 19 month old dog that is finished but does have moments when she reverts back to a pup. She will tree her own coon, rarely backs another dog, and has won $135 in the PKC. I am prepping her for the fall SS right now. When she gets older she will be my go to pup trainer. She is not at all aggressive towards other dogs, but not scared of them either, and she loves treeing coon. Just let me know what you wanting to do.
