I am looking for someone to help me out with my young hound she's a blue tick UKC registered jet/utchman/smokey river bred, super friendly and eager to learn she's only a little over 8 months old but has been in the woods a decent amount, have started her since 9 weeks playing with a coon tail, and did a drag about 3 times since 6 months old, last drag was about 250 yards in total darkness. In the next few months I want to find a experienced hound or hounds to help her out and run with but don't know anyone else with coondogs, if anyone is in Bedford, Blair, Huntington or Fulton counties that is willing to let us tag along or come to one of the places I have to hunt please let me know thank you for your time

I'm not in the area but I can relate. Just find areas with a lot of coon. Walk the pup through the area. Her genetics should take over and naturally Chase what she smells. Keep doing it and over and over and she will get better and better.
