Anyone from MI know what the regs are for retrieving dogs that go off your own hunting property? And where those can be found? Thought a printed copy would be useful to have on hand out hunting.

Its on the DNR website you can go get them but your supposed to leave your weapons behind I am not so fond of that notion

Just get ur dog when u get to em chain em up and if anyone stops u tell em u were gettin ur dog and that u were runnin so and sos property and they ran off it. I've never had anyone be pissy in 20 years of coon huntin. Its better then wakin em up at 2am lol

Haha true. Just have had a couple people be pretty annoyed. Think one of them was poaching though, idk why else he would be out in the deep woods at 11 pm. Had permission to get the dog off if they ran over there but he said he didn't mean deer season.

GAHUNTER. I think you are pretty close to the club up there in Lakeview by Cedar Springs. Alot of guys hunt up around there.

How many of you guys stop hunting completely during the three months training season is not in? Or do you use the all year damage control rule on private land?
