Hey I am looking into getting my first coon dog but know nothing about them. I am a local trapper and would really like to give coon hunting a try. I was wondering if there are any local hunters that would let me ride along with them. I am located in northern Utah. Thanks
Riley

Did you end up finding anyone? I'm in the same boat, looking into getting a dog but know nothing about coon hunting, it just sounds like a blast. If there is anyone up here in northern Utah willing to give me at least a few tips I'd appreciate it.

Hello I'm trying to find someone that might be willing to let my dog and I tag alone with them. He's a 4 month old plott hound I've got him on sent in my yard and if has done well I'd like him to learn from some older dog's to get on the tree. I've never been before but sounds like a blast!

Hey everyone out there, I just moved into town in January. I've coon hunted plenty back home in Maryland and am looking to get a redbone coonhound but only want to do so if I can find a few spots to hunt. Utah is an extremely different climate and i'm just not 100% on getting a dog unless I know I can train and hunt him out here. If anyone out there knows of some spots or could advise me a little that would be great. And if anyone needs help learning the sport and knows of some places i'd be down to go on some hunts and help train your dog. - scotty

I live in SLC and have a 5 month old plott hound. Having a hard time finding anyone to go hunt with, im interested in starting on coons then moving to bigger game such as coyotes, cougars, and maybe bear. Anyone interested in working with me, or showing me the ropes. ???
