I go to the mountains, lakes, and farms but I'm right by them. I would try lake Isabella and tejon ranch if I were you. I know there's a lot of different hunting going on at tejon ranch and a bunch of hunters go there to talk to. I'm not really going to start mine for another like 8 months. Right now I'm just getting him to use his nose by hiding treats and hot dogs anywhere I can think of. Then ill get him on fur, then a roll cage, then live and moving, and then the woods to find a live one. I start later though so they are more mature and easier.

Do you have to pay to go on tenon ranch? I was thinking about takin him to lake Isabella and the canyon by the river on my next days off. I've been trying to do the same thing with treats I put my other dogs up and hide treats around the yard

I'm not sure if you have to pay or not. I put a treat down on the ground and smash it into the grass with my foot and walk to him and it leaves a little scent trail for him to follow to the treat.

I used to go to bakersfield all the time but now with work I don't as much. I do want to plan a trip to lake Isabella and take him there in the near future.
