Drew, here is just a thought, could you split up the "western states" some, and name it "mid-western states"? I like the idea of splitting up the states by region, but nearly half of the country is grouped into the same category. NE is no where near TX, CA, or AZ, but we are all grouped together. It could be ND, SD, NE, KS, WY, MT, and a big maybe WI, MN, IA, and CO. Just a thought.

Sorry no plans for that. It's broken into 3 regions.

Link on homepage titled: Find Hunters in your Area takes you to: http://www.coondawgs.com/findhunters.html Clicking on one of the map regions to takes you to the forum section for that region.

Examples of the 3 regions:

While Oregon and Arizona are nowhere close to each other, they are are in the West region.

While Illinois and New York are nowhere close to each other, they are in the North region.

While Louisiana and North Carolina are nowhere close to each other, they are in the South region.

It's not about how close states are to each other, its about the region.

It was created years ago to help hunters locate other hunters in their area.

If you see a thread in the Western Hunting States titled "Looking for hunters in Oregon", and you are in Nebraska, then no reason to have to open it. Same way from someone from Oregon who see's a thread titled "Looking for hunters in Nebraska", they would not open it as it does not relate to them.

Same scenarios could be used with the examples of the 3 regions I posted above about states in the same region but not close to each other.

Basically if you see a thread that does not relate to you, just don''t open it and open the threads that relate to the area near where you live.

Ah, I understand now. I just thought it would be a good idea because one region is the size of the other two combined.
