I bought my first hound late last winter and am trying to learn more every day. I see most of you are pretty knowlegable about pedigrees and was just wondering about his. there are lots of Grnitech on his papers. For what i know he is a pretty nice pleasure dog. But he just turned 4 and hadnt been hunted much at all I was told. The guy I got him from got him to run with his old dog and then had to have surgery on his foot and couldnt hunt him. I just started taking him as much as I could. He isnt trashy at all the only problems i can tell is sometimes when you turn him loose he will tree pretty quick and will be slicked but when he opens on a trail so far there is always a coon at the end. Anyways just wondering about his bloodlines. I know dogs cant read and a set of papers has never put a coon in a tree just curious about his background
