I recently got a redtick puppy that is out of an oakwoods sunkist male and a Bo Diddley female. He is very smart and at 3 months old would go track a turn loose coon and tree a little. Does anyone have any information on these bloodlines?

I know very little about either but, they have a sunkist thread on the UKC board english classifieds that may enlighten you a little.

I do have a coming 3 year old out of a sinkist female that is very independant, nice tree dog, that will get gone. I have no idea at what age he would've started due to I got him after he was 2 and was only hunted a couple of times before then. I have put him in 2 hunts. Won second in the first and got smoked in the second.

Thanks for the information. I found out that the bo dog was actually owned by a man that lives about thirty miles from me. He was in the top ten producers a few years back. From what everyone has been telling me he was a really nice coondog. I really like this puppy, he is extremely smart. I took him with me a couple of nights ago thinking that he would stay under foot. My gyp went one way up the creek and he went the other. She went down and got treed and just as I was getting to her he came by me and went in there with her. He barked a couple of times is all. But I was really impressed with him doing that at only four months.
