Tom Culpepper owned Texas Lotto as well as Lotto's Texas Cowboy. Both dogs are deceased now. I have a young hound that will be two in October this year that is out of Cowboy and GRNCH Banjo's Stylish Tilly. Tom sold the female that was bred to Cowboy and ended up buying the litter back after Cowboy died. My pup is a big houndy type of dog, long ears like the old time dogs had, he is real easy to be around and minds good. Last year was his first year to start and I only hunted him with another hound a few times. He is making a real nice hound more of a track dog and not a tree hugging idiot. He can figure out a rough track and finish it. He doesn't have the best mouth on a track kind of a squall ball, a long locate ball and a nice steady chop on the tree. His first year by himself in 2009 he had 17 coons in 16 trees in 25 hunts and 1 circle tree. In 2010 (the end of last season) he had 9 coons, 3 den trees in 7 hunts (in January and February). If I could fault him at all it is that he will run the last coon on the ground instead of taking the first one up a tree and staying put. When he does tree he stays put. On one hunt last season he tapped a tree and went on another quarter treed that coon and went back and treed the coon he tapped first. He is also independent for a young hound and not a me too dog the few times he went with another hound. No problems with deer or off game either. Hope this helps. Dave
