I'm in upstate SC and have a male littermate to your pup. He's a big pup, super lookin', and has an awesome bawl mouth. He's seen one caged coon and went slobber-mouth crazy. Now hunting him with our older female and he's staying with her and really starting to use his nose, but is yet to open on track and has opened only a time or two at the tree. Bottom line, he's doing everything I want at this point, it's now only a matter of time in the woods.
I also got a female pup from Henry, by his Hickory dog, and she's 3 weeks older than my Boomer pup. She's at the same stage, but has opened at the tree a little better.
Very pleased with both pups at this point. Hope yours is doing well.
