just was sittin around house an got to thinking witch people like the best a laid back kind of hound or a wired up 440 kind of hound . an i also was thinking about some young dogs i have there english dogs both out of the same litter an the male pup is laid back as they get until its time to hunt an the female is 440 all the time i guess it comes from diffrent genes both do fine in the woods an have alot of brains but was just wondering why there so diffrent an witch hunters perfer.

I like laid back hounds more a lot easier to handle. Alley hounds Are laid back but. One but when's time to go Huntin they all get amped up wich is what I like

I agree. As long as they get motivated when they hit the woods a laid back dog is much easier to handle.
