Ok so here is the dam and sires ped. I own the dam. The dam is my first registered hound she's a red tick and so the sire. I'm just starting to get into comp hunting and wondering what sex I keep. Cuz if they do good I want to promote it so what one would be easier to promote thanks

I would say a female for the fact that a female is less likely to get in fights

I would have to agree with you, but keep a open mind to a male though.

If you want one you could some day promote I would keep a male, but you should remember that dogs good enough to promote don't come by every day, and it will take you many nights in the woods, and miles of shoe leather to train this pup. Good luck either way.
