I usually dont post my opinion but I hunt plotts for coons. Just my opinion on the subject but there is a vast differance in a coon dog and a comp dog. I like to shine coons not empty trees! I bought a all grand walker dog and very confident he could find a empty tree at the north pole.

I've got a pair of plotts that I coon hunt with. The 5 month old is starting to tree. They are easy to handle and easy to call. They use em on big game because they are tougher than nails. I don't think you were trying to start a war with walkers but look out.

We coonhunt our Plotts. We comp. hunt and show when we can . I personally dont need a trophy or title to know I have a nice hound . I just take em to the woods and tree coons. If I took them to all the hunts the Walker folks might give up and we dont need that Lol !

I have followed behind several good plott coondogs, and I have followed behind some potlickers,as I am sure we all have.I prefer hounds like the plotts, and bluetick, but it seems like all there is around here is walkers,I have nothing against the walker breed because I have had some good ones, but I prefer the plotts and blueticks JMO

i've got two plotts from different bear stocks. they have run bears but i use them on coon. we have few coon here so they mostly run fox. the push them a long ways too. they're the only hounds i've owned. i started out wanted something different. but as for me, i like all kinds of hounds.
