i would find a stud that has the same traits your female has. "runs track with a big loud bawl and nice steady chop tree dog that has a coon looking down when you get to the tree." breeding aint got nothin to do with titles or more of this and more of that blood or being famous. its all about the traits you want in your pups. the traits in the dogs you are crossing will determin the type of traits the pups come out with. since the pups will be some like the sire and some like the mother, the more traits that match between the sire and dam ,the more pups per litter will have those same traits. breeding any other way will just give you a mixed bag of traits in the pups. its why there are so many litters with one or two nice hounds and several duds.

I tend to agree with toecutter. What makes her a pleasure to hunt for you? Is it mouth, the way she handles? Do you want colder nose dog? Could be a number of traits. There are a number of dogs that hunt a lil to deep for me, run past coon. That is a trait important to me, along with track speed and the way a dog handles a track when conditions are tough. Your on the right track don't be afraid to talk to these guys, and guys that have pups from your potential sire. I have a few opinions that work for me, but may not for you. Half the fun is talking to these guys. Good luck!
