18 years ago I owned a litter mate sister to lipper. She was all coon dog. She was never comp hunted and only had 1 litter of pups when she was 8. I kept a male and a female out of her and they turned out to be the best pair of hounds I ever owned. Due to a job I had to sale them. I just got back into hunting 2 years ago. And just cant find the old house bred hound like I want. Right now I have a 2 year old female that is Yakin river/nailor on top and house/clover on them bottom. Nice female but I'm still in search for my old school heavy house bred dog.

my male is a great grandson to wagers stylish lipper, he didnt start until he was 18 months old. do you guys like those that start early or late. some people tell me that one that starts late turns out to be good coondawgs. he was the only male in the litter does this make a difference.

lipper is one of the greats. there was alot of poor quality females bred to lipper. i have a 13 old grand pup out of lipper not titled i dont comp hunt. anyone can title a dog out if you put dog in enough hunts and it can tree a coon and open on track. i have comp hunted and dont care for it.

Yes Adios Lighting was a real coon dog as was his son Adios Eagle. Eagle was out of Lightning and Baggett's Dixie. I believe that Lightning was out of Lipper. I am not sure but I am still friends with Larry Baggett's son and with Steve Parrish(owner of Eagle) and have spent quite a bit of time in the woods with them. I only hunted with Lightning on a few occasions but spent more than my share of time in the woods with Eagle. I handled a dog for Eagles first owner and then I hunted with and against Eagle once Steve got him. I know that blood line was for real and would kill for a dog like any of them, as would most people.

If you want to go back to the Lipper "well" I know where 2-3 breeding of frozen semen off House's Lipper can be bought, as well as a couple breeders who have had success line-breeding heavy House-bred dogs that don't go back to Lipper. If a man liked it, he could buy a strae of the Lipper semen & store it. until he found a nice young female from these men's House breeding to use it on.

Last dog i bought was out of a pr non-titeled lipper seman dog ten plus years ago he was large big red head blanket back loud deep mouth was not mean but would stay treed in PKC money hunt with a face barking alligator tree his own coon 7 months old. I have been out of coonhunting a while gona buy a pup out of insain x and a trackman female this weekend i pray to have as much luck out of him as i did that lipper breed hound. biggest mistake i ever made getting ride of him. I would be very greatful for some information about close lipper breed pups how or where to get one. Dont know what kind of dog nailor was i did draw skipper one night in forman ark he was AWSOME i dont care what anybody says nailor thru some bad to the bone treedogs skipper was only 9 or 10 months old 900 or so plus points i will never forgit that.

I owned gr. nt. ch. shoe's LIPPERS IMAGE when he was 8 to 10 years old. I hunted him at the winter classic in albany, ga when he was 10 and he won his cast. He could have won high scoreing dog that night but I wasn't much of a competion handler. Mr buddy shirley of northport,AL bought him back a week later. Best DOG i ever owned. He was directly off old LIPPER ALA-C.D.

Actually Adios Lightning was from the Baggett's Dixie and Lipper cross. Adios Eagle was from the second cross of Cotney's Coco and Adios Lightning. Boy was this a super cross. First litter produced a Dual Grand Adios Magic, an outstanding female Honey ( never competition hunted ) and a I believe NKC world show champion female. Those dogs had it all. Superior track, loud mouths, locates a kid could call, stay put tree dogs that would back off from a gator, superior conformation, no quit. Oh yeah I forgot to tell you Cotney's Coco was a direct daughter of House's Clint. And Larry Baggett was a Prince of a fellow.
