I HAVE HUNTED AND STARTED WALKERS FOR 23 YEARS BUT OVER THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS I HAVE BEEN THINKING I WOULD LIKE TO START A BLUETICK PUP. I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED THERE OLD FASHION LOOK. WHAT IS A GOOD LINE OF B-TICKS THAT I SHOULD LOOK FOR? THANKS.

Would that be considered converting or deserting? ( : I like the Smokey River, Bullet and the other 2 mentioned. I had an old Smokey River that was a great pupy trainer. I love the old blue dogs becouse it is what my dad hunted when I was a kid. He is gone now but they bring back a lot of memories when I am in the woods.

to me all of them have thier advantages and disadvantages but really cant go wrong with any of them in my opinion but i have i had experience of Hammer males to become agressive around 4 years old on the tree.

Lowell, don't overlook the old Buzz Anderson/Guy Ormiston breeding as well as the Dennis Upson bred dogs. Can't go wrong with either one of these lines.

My male dog is off Dancer's Northern Blue Son. He's a broke 18 month coon dog. I can call him back even if he is treeded. Diesel is the only bluetick that I have had. I have always hunted english dogs and still have one off Thunder Saint Nick, a pup off Swamp Racket, and a pup off Briar Creek Zeb. So far Diesel has been the easiest, and fastest learning dog that I've had.

I have been hunting walkers for the last 10 years I lost a good blue dog about 17 years ago. Could not find the same type of blue dog after he died so I started hunting walkers. Then in the past 2 years I have hunt with a nice line of blue dog's I have a female at the house right now that I am hunting for a man They are not your average blue dog's they get in the woods and get it done they do make mistake's like all the other's but they have drive good mouths and usually have a coon. Get a hold of Tony Clevenger in TN this is where this line came from His Cain and Jenny cross not all this dog are off that cross. But most of them go back to them hope this helps

I hunt and like the Uchtman Line ! They go back originally to the Vaughn and Grant bloodlines and the Uchtman boys will tell you that to, as the Jet Line goes back to the Hammer Line and if i were a betting man i would they all go back to the Vaughn and Grant line ! I like the Uchtman because most are just a good balanced hound in a departments !

Just like trucks, every brand [ line ] makes good one's & bad one's !!! I've got an Upson dog that you don't have enough money to buy ! Try to hunt with the parents before you buy a pup . Feel lucky ???? John Wick says it best , pups are like a lottery ticket that takes a year or so to scratch off ! GOOD LUCK !
