haven't posted on here in what seems like ages. i had a bluetick, but he was a hog dog. had no intrest in coons(guess they weren't bigg enough..lol). this dog was a great dog, he was silent on trail till about 1.5yrs then he opened on a hot track. all teh boys i run with like silent hounds and at the time i didnt' have my own spot to run so i sold him. WORST MISTAKE I EVER MADE! i've got two darn good curs right now but that bluetick was the truth. he was doubled up ramboII. if i get another bluetick..better yet WHEN i get another bluetick it will be heavy heavy ramboII.
What about the Jet Line? Jet IV Jet V Jet 8. Anyone have an opinion?
I have a jet8 male and he is one of the best I have seen. Absolute coondog really smarrt handles easy and has a a mouth like a fog horn. Lock down tree dog and faster than most I have hunted with. Jet all the way !!!

You all had two of some of the best on here already, LCK and Gary Robinson what I say takes a back set. It depends on what you want to run and what you want out of a hound. This would be a Great place to start looking, Anderson, Vaughn, Minisink, Cameron, Upson Hounds that play on all levels. This is were I would start JMO!

Donnie the bluetick nut in East Tenn here I have a 3yr old fem out smoky river/utchman that is a solid small framed hound with a big bawl mouth. She will tree a smokin hot track or work up a cold track.I also have a 4yr old fem that is TurkeyCreek/Bullet.She is a long legged tall hound That will flat catch a hot track coon, but she canwork a cold track with great accurracy very loud mouth, killer locate that my three year old boy can call.I aquired a male out of the Rushcreek line of Perry Vessely's out of Illinois. He is 6mo. old and is really smart listens and handles like a dream. He is starting to do his own thing. He has a really loud mouth, seems like he will be a killer coondawg.Any line of bluedawgs can make a good coondawg with a little work.Just rmember u can't go wrong with a bluedawg.Goodluck Donnie.
i had a hammer dog out of northern blue hammer XXIII and northern blue elizabeth i had him until he was about 3 and someone shot him this year before i got to his tree. best dog i ever owned no leed needed handled like a dream could call him off a track or tree and if he was treed there was a coon above him. now ive got a 7 month old smokey river pup. he is doing pretty good for his age hes running and treeing a coon let out of a cage by himself so hopefully he keeps learning quick. handles real good to... so far
