Wouldnt it be nice if some one could just answer the young mans questions without being a butt about it? Sam.. you know plenty about English.. instead of being rude to this young man.. why dont you just answer the questions he is asking.. Not everyone is an expert on English hounds.. I think it would do this young man some good to help him instead of trying to make yourself look better by correcting him publicly~ This young guy was just looking for help~

I have owned and hunted with some good ones that go back to the following dogs or lines: Briar Creek, Wilcox, Beshears Blue Boy II (Junior), Woodstock, Hardtime Speck, Boyd's Little Joe, Pinehill Trueboy, Bluegrass Amos, just to name a few. Most of these names will be farther on back in the pedigrees, and a lot of the dogs now will be a cross out of these lines. Hope this helps and good luck.

I've really had good luck with Wilcox St. Nick stuff. I've not hunted around other stuff to much other then Briar Creek, it's pretty good too, but it also goes back to some St. Nick stuff.

What part of SD are you from?
