I just bought a young dog that has lipper blood all over it. The guys I hunt with told me they dont like lipper breed dogs. I'm not very dog smart but looks to me that just about every walker dog has lipper blood in them. Can some one tell me of any walker dogs that do not have lipper in them? Thanks in advance.

Lipper is with out a doubt in alot of pedigrees.

Miami river wheeler
Miami river coe
lost creek magic
Late nite big bubba
minklers kansas dancer
hollow oak singing samantha
maple ridge Rudy
rupert
rock river sackett
Rock rv sackett jr
skeans dolly
dam Forget the name
Houses lipper
dollys stylish queen
stylish dolly

this is pedigree to old dog my buddy owns he grntch and pkc sch. excellent, hard hunting, big locate ,steady sit down chop mouth tree dog, that stays all night.

Now if you was a lipper fan you'd brag about your hard hunting lipper dog.
Dollys stylish queen is a littermate to lippers stylish rank.

But queen was breed to sackett jr. producing ruperts dam making the dam lipper or sackett jr breed?????
QueenX sackett Jr produced cowee creek clint and from what i have seen clint is bred for jr not lipper.

But you may say well lipper produced hard hunting and sackett gave rupert little more tree power so it was a good even cross up.
Although we still have another side late nite big bubba was known for producing hard hunting dogs.going threw bubbas dam samantha is half sister to so many rock river dogs because rudy was bred to sackett jr. and produced excellent stud dogs.

So before you say your dog is lipper bred do some paper work. if you was a sackett fan you would say rupert is just lke the bloodline if you was lipper or miami river fans you would say samething.
But in reality most of the dogs in most hounds papers are what the dog is ruperts papers are loaded with hard hunting good tree dogs that can drive a track.
So dont say your dog is lipper bred just because lipper is on the paper you never no who was the out cross.

Best dog ive ever seen in the woods was a lipper female. She could tree a coon in less than 60 seconds on alot of the drops.Drive a coon like nobodys business and deadly accurate..Last dog i had of this bloodline died a couple months ago.Wish this bloodline was more available,id sure like to have another of that kind. They all had DRIVE and one thing on there mind.If anybody knows of any around post it up.

i have hunted lipper, sackett jr, hayes jr, hardwood henry, clover, nailor dogs. i would have to say that i prefer the lipper bred. i have a 13 year old grand pup out of lipper/clover. lipper top side goes back to clover on the bottom side. i owned a lipper/sackett jr grand pup had to sell due to working. That dog could drive a track with the best of them and would tree with thes best. the nailor dogs that i have hunted were kinda of lazy on the track side but if ya want a dog that can tree i would say nailor is the way. the nailor dog i had was a slick treeing machine. i am not knocking any of these just telling ya what i have noticed from the years i have been hunting. the hardwood henry pup i owned was going to be a good hound. i sold that pup due to having to many dogs. if i was going to hunt any of the walker breed it would be lipper and if i could get one with lipper and clover or lipper and sackett jr i dont think you can go wrong. the lipper breed can burn up a track and tree as well. just depends on what ya want.this is just my opinion and say you cant go wrong with lipper bred hounds.
