I have received 165 emails alone today so far to return emails that are not correct -- When someone sends you a PM, the forum emailer emails you a notice that you have a PM (if you have it enabled). If your email is not correct, the bounce email comes back to the forum emailer. Same thing if someone registers with a bogus email address. This is a daily occurence of receiving the returned bounced emails. Normaly there is anywhere from 200-300 return emails daily. Today looks like it will be an over 300 returned email day as the forum receives more activity in the evening. That's just way to many bogus emails I am having to wade through. If your email is not correct, now is the time to go into your profile and update your correct email address. Eventually, to stop all the returned bounced emails, I'll delete accounts out with incorrect emails. I receive way to many bounced emails to personally PM you to update your correct email address (Plus, I will received returned email for every PM I send - which is that problem is to begin with). That is why I have posted this in the Site News and Announcement section for all members to see. It only takes a couple minutes to update your correct email address in your profile. |
