Garmin Etrex, small compact, fast, accurate, and even at this time of the year with all the leaves on I usually get a signal within just a few minutes. Not that I ever get lost, or anything, but sometimes I misplace my truck.

I just get a long string and tie one end to my belt loop and the other end to the bumper. It's all fun and games til someone else moves the truck while you're still tied!!

I use the Garmin Rhino 130, it's a solid unit and has a built in two way radio as well. It can plot your drop point, route to tree, quickest heading back to the truck or to your hunting buddies that have the same line radios. Plus w/ a barometer and moon pahse calander it's easier to tell when bad weather is coming in or good hunting times.

I am learning to use a Megallen Eplorist 100 as of now. The only problem I am having is in heavy woods it drops connection with the sats.

I use a magellen explorist 200 and find it real easy to use and it gets a fix real fast, it has a very basic background map and lots of different fetures
it has never let me down .

My Unit is a magellan Meridian. It worked great, but for some reason it won't get a fix now. I get the hourglass and that is it. I;m wondering if I should stick with the Megellan or try a Garmin.
