I am new to the Johnson City TN area. Is there anywhere closer than Asheville to buy a light, collars, squallers etc. I have been to Mahoney's and Podo's and neither have any coon equipment.

Yes, there is a great place to buy coon hunting supplies over in Kingsport. It is on Lynn Garden Drive. I am not sure the exact name of the place, but it is something like Smith's Feed or something like that. But if you are on Lynn Garden, and you go under the overpass there, it is about a half a mile up. It is pretty much just a coon hunting supply store and the guy who owns it is super nice and there are a lot of good ole' hunters that hang out there. He has everything you need and if he doesn't have it, he will get it for you.
