Does anyone know of a cheap dog box to go on the back rack of a four wheeler? Or a good way to build one besides wood. And does anyone use a Pet Taxi as a dog box on a four wheeler.
I know a couple of guys that just strap a pet taxi on the back and ride to where they are hunting. There is also a company or two out there that make diamond plate boxes that will fit on the back of an ATV but they aren't cheap.
Honda Rubicon(500). Side to side its the same as my rear rack. It hangs about 4in over the back of the rack. The slot in the bottom allows it to sit flush on the rack. Its not that heavy but could of been lighter if I had used about 1/2 plywood for the floor instead of 5/8in. I already had the 5/8in. It should hold 2 80lbs hounds or 3 45lbs hound without cramming them in.
Does anyone have one ? If so how do you like it and is it worth it . My buddy had one years ago and he liked it alot . But to me it seems like it would be too much weight on the back going up steep hills and make you flip.

we use the plastic dog crates also. But united welders makes a small single box for a 4 wheeler but it would probally cost a mint right now with the prices of metal
Might just have to trry a plastic one . Right now I just trow the dog box on a very small trailer , it does good in the feilds and in open timber , but when you get in tight spots you can forget it .
The only reason I use it is cause in most our huntin spots are right here at the house and there is 200 acres of feild that we travel to the timber and one the other spots is faster to take the atv and cross some feilds than to drive around the roads
