Recently I purchased a pr. of La Crosse nylon hunting boots 800 grams. insulated. They are guarenteed "waterproof". Does this mean I can walk across ankle deep creek & keep my feet dry or does it just mean I can stay dry when walking in wet grass? Store employee couldn't tell me. And do I need to spray them with silicone waterproofing every so often? Farmboy-1

I've got nothing but good things to say about Lacross Rubber boots, bu tI have never owned a regular pair of their boots....

You can get in water up to where the tongue is sewn to the boot. Any deeper than that, you've got wet feet.

I bought a pair of lacrosse alpha rubber boots in October of 07,thought i finally found a good pair of boots that would last a couple of years.Well i was wrong!!! They cracked all around the back side just above the ankle on both boots.Still have the box and some of the paper work they came with but i have lost my bill of sale .Took them back where i bought them from they said Lacrosse would not take them back without a bill of sale.So now im stuck with a leaky pair of $132 boots.

well my feet don't sweat as much in the muck as much as they do in my lacrosse boot. and if i'm not mistaken they have the same gram insulation.

I used to wear nothing but Lacrosse boots until I tried Muck boots. My feet do not sweat in them, they are alot lighter, and they have a 1 yr warrenty on them without a reciept if you dont have one. Me and my friends have had them and they wear theres all the time and have never had a problem in about 3 yrs with theres. I have had mine for over a year with no problems. So in my opinion Muck all the way
