Anyone else having trouble gettin ammo? I went to several stores the other day to get some 22 shells. I always get the bulk packs, everyone said they were on backorder! I bought some smaller packs for 7.50/ 100rds. 40 dollars later i had 500 rnds. This is rediculous when I was gettin 500 for 12 dollars. But what else do ya do?

Every bodys freaking out thinking that the gov. is going to take our guns. All I can do is surf the internet and try to find match grade 22 ammo, I use eley and it has almost doubled in price since this time last year. I stoped by a local gun shop the other day and all they had was tenx (21$ for 50) Sk and wolfmt has jumped up to 50 dollars a brick if you can find it. Coming from some one who shoots 3 times a week makeing holes in paper I feel your pain man.

When you cant even get it at Walmart things are getting bad..The only thing in stock is Shotgun shells. The only reason they are because guys are reloading them now.More than ever before...They are reloading about anything they can now..Try to find 44 mags now.Or primers. You cant around here anyway..LOL...The guy at Walmart said for 380 or 9mm theres a waiting list of over 100 names on it...LOL...You cant even buy 22s anymore. There gone the day they get off the truck.......

I don't get it... tend to be suspicious I guess. What has really changed? Demand has doubled for the same supply of ammunition...and the price has doubled to!!! Sounds to me like the ammunition manufacturers are making a killing with scare tactics.

exactly!! The only reason they have gone up in price is because people are buying the hell out of them and the manufacturers can't keep up! Ever since Obama got elected people are scared he's gonna raise the taxes on ammo and guns so everyone is getting as much as possible. In all reality we might be doin it to ourselves for now, but I do think he just hasn't got to the guns and ammo yet. It's gonna be a real fight for us outdoorsmen before to long. Even more than it already is!!

Mel Well Said, Remember when gas was almost $4.00/gallon now it is $2.39. The same thing will happen with ammo and all these guys will be mad they bought it for double the price.

Some 22 ammo in this area is getting scarce. Found 8 boxes of win HV the other day. Shot some of it and it is as accurate as anything i have shot. 5.95/100.

Mel you are right ... washington d.c. says they have no interest in chasing guns and ammo right now ... with the current economy and political unrest in other countries they currently have bigger fish to fry ... also having a hard time finding 22 ammo in southeastern indiana ...

I got 2 bricks of .22lr from cheaperthandirt.com When all was said and done it cost about the same as Walmart and got here 2 days after order was placed. I got the Remington Viper because it seems to cycle 99.9% of the time through my Mark 3, which is better than most. I see they've taken those off their website now and only sell the 100ct plastic containers of them and they're a lot more expensive.

Sportsmansguide.com , just got in some decent priced .223 and .22, still not seeing any good priced hunting ammo though, I'd hate to have to buy bottom feeder ammo.
