Ucthman would be the bluetick bloodline I would choose but ther are a few more good ones out there here are a few more Vaughn, smokey river, hammer, and the northern blue hounds snd krooked creek are all good blood to.

how do you know exactly what bloodline your dog is? can you do that with the papers or is that something by kennels??

Try a dog that goes back to Arnold's Sue Z. I also like dogs out of Rambo.

Of the 5-6 dogs I've hunted with out of Arnold's line they are extremly accurate blueticks.

i recently got a pup and on papers i see names such as uchtmans jetIV and smokey river on there so what bloodline is my dog? new to this dont really understand whole pedigree situation

The Jet line goes back to the Hammer line. I believe the Jet line was started by Hammer 4, but I might be wrong.
