I have a sportdog 3200 with one collar. I need another collar, Ive noticed that they have now come out with a 3225. Will my transmitter for my 3200 work with a collar for the 3225. And, will will the transmitter for the 3225 work with a collar for the 3200?

Thanks

I am going to say no to both. It looks like it is the new technology like the SD1825, the collars look the same. I know the 1825 collars will not work with any of the older SD like the 2500 (what I use). I would bet the 3225 will not work with the 3200.
Check with Gundog supply, steve would know.

I have the 3225 and recently sold my 3200 as they will not work with the each other's collars.

The only collars that match up to the SD-3225 is the SDR-AH, SDR-AW and SDR-A.

Only thing on the 3225 I do not like is the cradle chargers..........was so use to the old style charging the collars.

- No 9v battery to replace in handheld
- 2 hour charging time on collars
- Tone/Vibrate on the collars
- Expandle to 6 dogs instead of 4

Also, the collars are 3/4 instead of 1".

Here is pics of all the new set-up:

Buckshot do you like yours better than a tritronics? is it user friendly? and does it range out pretty good?

Crazywolf671, the SportDog vs Tri-Tronics is like Ford vs Chevy, LOL - Some like them, some don't.

I like the 3225..........I have a 6 dog system. Have had no issue out of it concerning the settings and range.

It doesn't take much to set up a collar and marry to the receiver.
