I have a female English. Runs track the fastest I've ever seen and trees great the only thing I've noticed is when she she's out of heat it takes her longer to run a track and get settled into a tree but when she's in heat she's a coon killin machine and suggestions would be great thanks.

Are you hunting her alone or with different dogs????.Most females look bad when hunting them in heat coming in or going out...(Ive never) heard anybody say there female hunted the best in heat..You should never hunt a female in heat..Your taking a BIG chance on getting her bred by any male dog (house dogs) even a coyote that can get to her..

Ok I'm not saying your wrong but... Where are all the pups I have never seen a coyote hound mix, not saying it can't be done but I'm sure this is not the first guy to run his gyp while in heat! I do agree with not running but my reason is the house dogs!

I had a nabor a few years ago. Seen a male coyote bred to his house dog in his back yard...I have seen a lot of coonhounds that were not full blooded that the owners swore was..A few years ago while in a night hunt a guy lost his dog. We found the treeing Walker female bred to a black lab.Boy was he pissed......
