hes a 3 yr old walker everytime i take him hunti he always trees a cat do cats and coons smell alike

no hes barked at live coons hes won two ukc hunts and one water race do coons and cats smell alike

Ok, now I have something to go on, thanks. NO coon and cats do not smell alike. You have to break the dog off of cats if you don't want it on cats. I might let you in on a bit of a secret though. A natural cat dog is worth VERY big money to a lot of people.

Like you would any trash, pull him off the tree without any attention. And get back to hunting coon. This is where training material comes in. Such as, training whips (LCK has more info on that), E-collars, phsyical demands, ETC. Treat the cat as a possum. And there are tons of threads on breaking a dog of possum. Try out the search button.

i want my dog to tree coons and cats. she hates them both. but the advise you got here is true. treat them like a possum.
